PIE-Partners Involved in Excellence is a great way to get involved with your students educational experience at Wellington.
In keeping with the philosophy to provide a supportive school environment, all parents are invited to become members of PIE – Partners In Excellence. Family involvement in a child’s education is often one of the key factors in determining the amount of success a child will achieve in an academic setting. Remember, the invitation is always open at Wellington School. We look forward to working with you. PIE offers opportunities for all parents, teachers, and administrators to participate in the many aspects of the Wellington experience and thus provide essential support for our school.
The parent organization has structured itself into three separate divisions allowing parents to help in areas they desire. These divisions are:
-
Special Events - PIE helps with our annual Fall Festival, Book Fair, Book Club Lunch, Student Lunches, Parent Ambassadors, Fundraising Events, Family Picnic, and decorating for events.
-
Helping Hands - Volunteers work directly with students and teachers tutoring, reading stories, working in the library, assisting with the art show, science fair judging, etc.
-
Room Parents - Numerous volunteers serve as room parents, chaperones for field trips and dances, special classroom activities, and as “extra hands” in various classroom functions.
We’re counting on you to be our partners as your time and interest permit. Our volunteer opportunities await you! For more information on PIE and volunteer opportunities, contact Jill Hockin at (727)-397-4565 or jhockin@wellingtonschool.com
