All applicants must submit the following:
- Completed application form
- $75.00 non-refundable application fee
- School Records Release Form with parent’s or guardian’s signature
- Birth Certificate required for Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten applicants
The Admissions Office will contact you regarding scheduling a student visit to Wellington School and any necessary academic assessments.
Student Requirements
Jr. Kindergarten – Applicants must be four years old before September 1st of the year they are applying for.
Kindergarten – Kindergarten applicants must be five years old by September 1st of the year they are applying for. Admission depends upon successful completion of the Kindergarten Readiness Test (KRT) which is administered to all Kindergarten applicants prior to acceptance, as well as the recommendation from the child’s preschool teacher (if applicable).
Grades 1—5 – Students applying for these grades will spend a full day “shadowing” in their current grade. This allows your child to become familiar with Wellington School and to meet new friends, while the teacher has the opportunity to observe how the student interacts with the student body and complete any necessary assessments at that time.
Grades 6—8 – Students applying for these grades will spend a full day “shadowing” in their current grade. They will be partnered with a “Buddy” and will follow that student’s daily schedule. This allows your child to become familiar with Wellington School and to meet new friends, while the teachers have the opportunity to observe how the student interacts with the student body and complete any necessary assessments at that time.
