The primary aim of the Wellington School Elementary Physical Education curriculum is “character building through sports”. A wide variety of sports skills such as basketball, baseball, soccer, hockey, lacrosse, team handball, flag football and volleyball are presented in various units. Classes are held twice a week. The 5th grade is eligible for participation in the after school junior varsity interscholastic sports program and the K-4 are offered a weekly after school sports program. Other activities offered throughout the school year during P.E. are Frisbee skills, jump roping and the annual Presidential Fitness Test. Students are graded according to achievement, sportsmanship and good character.
