In Performing Arts/Musical Theater, students audition for and prepare to perform a musical! Singing and dancing skills are not required, but are encouraged and eagerly awaited! Most important is that students are willing to work hard and put their hearts into their roles. Recent productions have included Once Upon a Mattress Jr., Annie Jr., and the current production is Pirates of Penzance. Students take part by performing roles for which they memorize lines and blocking, practicing songs and choreography, helping with costuming and sets, and even assisting with technical concerns. There is nothing like being in a show with a great group of people! The ensemble effort is a lot of fun, so bring your energy, imagination, and your best speaking voice, and try it!
